Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement

Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement

Are you a canidate?

If you have an arthric knee and have failed conservative treatment such as therapy, injections, medications, bracing and limiting certain activities then you are a canidate for this procedure.

Potential benifits of robotic technology

This new technology has allowed surgeons to perform the procedure with the most highest degeree of accuracy. This translates into better outcomes, faster recovery and less pain. Most knee replacements historically can last 10-20 years. With robotic technology and increased accuracy of the procedure this can potentially increase longevity of the knee replacement.

How is it done?

First, the patient will get a CT scan of the operative leg to map out all the precise measurements, angles and cuts. In surgery the robot assists in making these precise cuts. The surgeon still performs the procedure with the assistance of the robotic technology. Most patients can go home the same day.
