Total Shoulder Resurfacing (TSR)

If you have severe shoulder arthritis and have been told that you need a total shoulder replacement but are too young or too active then you may be a great canidate for a Total Shoulder Resurfacing (TSR). This procedure is performed as a same day or outpatient procedure which means you go home the same day. It takes about one hour to perform, is minimally invasive, bone preserving and is the most anatomic replacement you can have. The TSR is the replacement most like your native shoulder currently available on the market today! There are no restrictions on your activity level and no weight restrictions after you have fully recovered from the procedure like there is with a conventional shoulder replacement. Most patients are back to the gym, working out and starting to return to sports about 3-4 months after the procedure.
